We thoroughly enjoyed our stay, and our memories of it will only deepen as we process the week.

The villa itself is absolutely glorious. So spacious, light, and clean. The pool and hot tub were easily occupied for ten hours a day...by mostly children, and I loved the ability to ease into the ocean from the lower deck. There are so many areas for seating..both in groups and for those wishing more privacy...and we loved that we ate in several areas...the dining room as well as outdoors.

The staff was exemplary -- unbelievably welcoming, professional, calm, and helpful. Every single one: props to Chef Steph, Butlers Ricardo, and Marlon, to housekeepers Alicia, Chan, and Rose, and to the kind pool man, ONeil. Mikey the driver was terrific, though someone should have let him know that he didn't need to arrive at the airport when he did (he arrived when Gord and I arrived as opposed to when Darien and Dustin arrived, which was after us, so the poor man had to wait at the airport for two hours more than necessary). My son-in-law's parents, who came to the villa for 5 days, took ill part way through their stay, and each and every staff member did their best to accommodate their dietary needs and comfort. And my daughter was taken to a Dr her second day there by Chef Steph. The kindness and genuine concern demonstrated by this team is beyond exceptional. They are what makes the place such a gem.

The food was marvelous. Breakfasts included Jamaican as well as North American options; lunches were often a brilliant re-use of a previous evening's dinner; and dinners were anticipated and devoured by all.

The trip is all I could have ever wanted. The house is spectacular, and perfect for our family, ages 4 to 84. There is something for everyone. Plenty of space, but great places to be together, too. Every room has a breath-taking view of “the sea” as my grandson Hays says.
We went to the Jamaica Inn for dinner and dancing the other night and left all the kids at home with the staff who are truly extraordinary. As you know I was blown away by the tipping suggestions, but it is not enough-- I’m adding more. The head butler, Marlon, is sophisticated and smart, and knows (only too well) just how I like my martini. Stephanie, the chef, does everything possible to please all of us and is so very sweet to all of us besides. . She prepares lovely dinners early for the children, and serve us elegant candlelit meals al fresco. Andre, our other butler, and Oneil, the outdoor activities guy do EVERYTHING possible to make sure everyone is having fun. They are so sweet with the kids, it would make you cry. We have a wonderful play room with a huge TV for rest time as well as a putting green.
