Tips from the Team:

• Don't drive in Jamaica. The trip was easy and stress-free thanks to the private driver, Michael, who safely and comfortably took the group to different destinations. He was also very engaging and the group enjoyed learning more about him and the island, plus his local recommendations.
• Have cash for local artists and gratuities. Some of the team members took home carved bowls, handcrafted jewelry, local chocolate, and other authentic souvenirs.
• Most stores will accept USD but expect change in JMD. ($1 USD is approximately 154 Jamaican dollars - conversion may fluctuate).
• Specialty grocery stores are starting to stock USA products (like White Claw and other hard-to-find items in Jamaica) - however, items imported are much more expensive. Our team's advice - enjoy the locally brewed beers, and liquors, and embrace the culture and food.
• Reserve Club Mobay service. There is no better way to arrive or depart Sangster International Airport (MBJ) than the fast-track service through customs and immigration. A representative will meet you once you get off the airplane and escort you quickly through customs. You'll bypass the chaos of security lines and crowded departure halls to relax in an air-conditioned lounge area with complimentary drinks and food. You are treated like a true VIP from the moment you step off the plane. (Extra note: Reserve this service early for holiday travel. It is one of the first services to fully book, and well worth the money to enjoy more of your time on vacation and less time waiting in lines at the airport).

Where Our Team Stayed

Villa Lido

Ocho Rios - 5 bedrooms / 5.5 bathrooms / up to 10 guests

• A contemporary, beachfront villa in Ocho Rios.
• About an hour and a half drive from MBJ Airport.
• Indoor-outdoor layout where you can hear and see the rolling ocean waves throughout the villa.
• Great for families and plenty to do: step right onto the beach, swim or snorkel, enjoy pool floats and baja loungers, or play pickleball on the private court or games on the expansive front lawn.
• Bedrooms are spacious, air-conditioned, and luxurious with top-of-the-line bathroom design and modern amenities.
• The three upstairs bathrooms have balconies where you can overlook the ocean.
• Phenomenal staff: Mitch, the head of house, was personable and professional. Navarro, the butler, always had a smile on his face. Chef Steven was extremely skilled and explained each dish. He even barbecued one night and served a banana pudding lit on fire!
• The team did not want to leave Villa Lido - a truly beautiful property in a breathtaking location with a staff that exceeded expectations.

BougainVilla on Spring Farm

Montego Bay - 6 bedrooms / 6 bathrooms / up to 12 guests

• Located in a private, gated community in Montego Bay.
• Ocean views greet you from the moment you step into the villa.
• Pool boasts an infinity edge and a small walkway across that guests can swim underneath.
• The villa is decorated in calming tones of blues and ivory and is clean and modern.
• An elegant spiral staircase brings you upstairs to the private gym room and four bedrooms (one more bedroom is located on the main floor).
• Pamela, the head of house, showed the group the expansive grounds. There is a wonderful outdoor area with a large bonfire, picnic tables, and twinkling lights that can easily be arranged for an outdoor party space.
• Chef Brittany was incredible. Some favorite dishes included a delicious pumpkin soup, chicken and veggie spring rolls, and mouthwatering baked goods.
